Who are We?
Sahara is a Miami-based organization working to combat domestic violence in the Asian communities of South Florida, and to provide support for Asian Women in distress. Sahara has provided support to victims of domestic violence from Bangladeshi, Indian and Pakistani backgrounds. Sahara is dedicated to assist domestic violence victims irrespective of their country of origin.

Sahara’s membership is open to both men and women.


How can we help those in need?

  • Support and guidance in getting the help a victim needs.
  • Educational forums, presentations, workshops, and speakers on Domestic Violence.
  • Referrals to legal services, medical care, health care and shelter.
  • Interpretation and translation services.

Sahara Help Line:

If you or someone you know is experiencing difficulties in their home, they can get help. With our phone line, victims can leave a message for our Counselors to direct them towards resources & services.

Calls will be returned within 48 hours. This is not a Crisis Line.
